INSPIRATION is the ability to see the radiance of the light of day when clouds are covering the sun.

INSPIRATION is a giddy, youthful laugh that elderly friends bellow out.

INSPIRATION is the confidence to defy the odds in spite of a strong reluctance to do so.

INSPIRATION is the pure heart of a small child whose resilience outweighs her ten fold.

INSPIRATION is the catapult for human kind, as we endeavor to make this world a better place.

Are You Afraid of the Dark?

run away cause you're scared of the dark 
run before your footprints leave a mark 

you tremble as you're fleeing with fear 
scared of something that's not even there 

but the dark, it  has eyes that can see 
eyebrows raised as you cautiously flee 

its true monsters and wolves come at night 
but the darkness alone will not bite 

if you seek to know more then stand tall 
to dawdle is to let courage fall 

the dark does not pity those who fear 
but will welcome the brave who come near 

your destiny is all up to you 
take a chance if you want something new 

can't blame life for the chance you didn't take 
the unknown in the dark will soon wake 

the time left to act is finite 
stand up 'fore you wake up the knight 

Screaming With a Broken Voice

She never made it to center stage

Her face never owned Cosmo's front page

She still sings to the tattered steering wheel

It's the only way she knows how to deal

That dream burned away in the flames

Her life's hard work smoldered by rain

Three decades have come and now went

No replies to the audition tapes sent

She yells into the steering wheel

Her heart wishes it couldn't feel

Ambition lingers in the smoke

Her mind is strong, but heart is broke

Clouding her sight, masking the day

The life she wants just blows away

Through pity tears she sings on more

Where is that stage she's searching for

When she was young, the world was vast

Flames have engulfed her dream, at last
